Meet Miss Linda

 My mother-in-law was a great ‘doula’ to me, but her availability was limited. Coming from a family of nine, I was used to being a part of a powerful support network. My loving mom and sisters were all back in Ireland.  After experiencing that need for support I began to look into what could be done differently. 

When I learned about newborn care specialists and postpartum doulas, something clicked. Not only did I experience a need for support, but I also experienced the need to share my new joy, however exhausting, of being a mom with someone who knew what I was feeling.  I needed an experienced friend. After the birth of my third child, I began to see myself as that person to others. I really did know how it felt. How wonderful, how terrifying, how exhausting, and how transformative.

I did Postpartum Doula training, and have been consistently taking numerous newborn care classes. I love this work and the real difference it makes in people’s lives and relationships.
